知識的投資，遠比身外的投資（例如買衣服車子 ）來得重要得太多，知識只會愈學愈豐富，愈有自己的想法。只不過書不是買來擺好充門面的，是要花時間去閱讀的。
每次上書局、網路書局、甚至看到的書摘，總是有一股衝動，很想把書買回來。可是當買回後，常常被束諸高閣，放了一陣子。不是沒看完，就是久而久之不知去向，被埋在書堆中。
雖沒看電視的習慣，上網仍佔掉下班後大部分所有時間，親子閒話家常次數減少，閱讀時間沒增加，別人還以為自己看了不少書，真是有點慚愧，虛度時光，上網時間應逐次減少，看書時間該加長些，知識的投資才會真正獲利，變成自己的財富。
